Tuscan Chicken in a creamy sun-dried tomato and rosemary sauce is the perfect chicken dinner. This easy chicken recipe is best with pasta, rice, or garlic bread!
This one-pan Creamy Tuscan Chicken is a big hit in our house since it is everyone’s favorite, and the kids love to have it with a bowl of white rice or pasta on the side.
It is really easy to make and can be put together in 30 minutes.
The chicken is soft and tender and loaded with flavor. Cooked in a rich and creamy sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic and fresh herbs. I am sure you will love this dish and you will make it regularly.
I do not cook that many cream based dishes, but this one is among the few that are certainly worth the calorie sacrifice if you are counting!
The chicken requires simple seasoning and then cooking with some butter and olive oil until it takes a beautiful golden–brown color. After that, let the chicken simmer in the cream until it is juicy and tender.
I also added 15 garlic cloves, half a cup of sun–dried tomatoes, some mushrooms, fresh rosemary and thyme to the cream sauce. The flavors marry well together, and the outcome is a hearty, delicious chicken dish loaded with goodness.
Ingredients:
To make this easy Creamy Tuscan Chicken, you will need the following ingredients:
Chicken: thighs on the bone with skin on. I find this part of the chicken cooks out tender and juicy, let alone it has tons of flavor once seasoned and cooked in sauce.
Garlic: I used 15 cloves of peeled garlic. I think when it comes to garlic, the more the merrier!
Herbs: Fresh herbs work best with this recipe. Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. Be creative and playful with the herbs you add and the flavors you create with every dish.
Sun-dried tomatoes: soft, juicy and packed with flavor, make sure not to skip this ingredient.
Mushrooms: white button, or brown mushrooms can be used. However, this is totally optional.
Cream: I used a cup of heavy cream. If you do not have cream, you can replace it with milk and a table spoon of starch to thicken the sauce with.
How to Make Creamy Tuscan Chicken

In a large skillet, on medium–high heat, melt the butter in oil and cook the chicken with skin side down for 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. After that, add the garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and herbs. Cover and let simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
Step 3:
Finally, add heavy cream and mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes until the chicken is tender, and the cream thickens a bit making a sauce.
