You will need a few ingredients to make this delicious chicken recipe:
For the sauce
- hoisin sauce
- rice vinegar, unseasoned
- soy sauce
- freshly grated ginger
- crushed garlic
For the meatballs
- ground chicken
- One egg
- freshly grated ginger
- crushed garlic
- sesame oil
- soy sauce
- thinly sliced green onions
- panko bread
- sea salt
You will also need some toasted sesame seeds to sprinkle on the meatballs; once baked, they are ready to serve.

First, combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl, mix well and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350F (180C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine chicken, egg, ginger, garlic, onions, sesame oil, soy sauce, and bread crumbs. Then season with some salt and mix well.
Form 24 (2–inch) balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Then, brush with sauce and bake for another 10 minutes. Remove from oven and toss with remaining sauce.
Finally, sprinkle the meatballs with sesame seeds and serve warm.
I serve this dish with fresh Cucumber Salad. It also goes great with steamed white rice or noodles.

- 1 egg

- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions (about 2)
- 1/2 cup panko bread, or regular breadcrumbs (unseasoned)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Combine sauce ingredients in small bowl, mix well and set aside.
