This super easy beef steak recipe is so quick to put together and the outcome is by far better than takeout. Loaded with garlic, red bell peppers, scallions and a delicious combination of soy and oyster sauces. The sweet and savory is going to make you enjoy this dish to the last bite.
You can literary put this dish together in 20 minutes and serve with your favorite side of plain rice or noodles or simply have it as is.

Here are the main ingredients you need to make this dish;
Beef Steak: Tenderloin, Rib-eye, or fillet, cut into pieces. I used Fillet Mignon simply becasue my kids like super tender meat with little fat.
Red Bell Peppers: You can also use green or yellow.
Garlic: 10 cloves, peeled. The more the merrier. You can add more or use less depending on your preference.
Scallions: Also called green or spring onions. You only need 2 stalks.
Rice Vinegar: This really helps tenderize the meat and also balances the flavors.
Soy Sauce: I am using low sodium dark soy sauce. You can use any soy sauce you have in your pantry.
Oyster Sauce: Sweet and salty think oyster sauce gives the dish richness and depth.
Sugar: You only need 1 tablespoon of white sugar to add some sweetness to the sauce.
Sesame Seeds: Toasted and used for garnishing.

This recipe could not be easier. It is ideal for quick week nights dinners and also ideal to prepare in advance and pack for lunch on busy days. You just need to heat it up before serving.
Step 1:
Preparing the meat: Start by cutting the meat into 1 inch cubes and marinate with rice vinegar and soy sauce for 10 minutes.
Step 2:
Preparing the vegetables: Cut the bell peppers, peel the garlic and chop the scallions.
Step3:
Making the stir fry: In a wok or a large skillet, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and fry the garlic on medium high heat until golden brown. Remove from pan and immediately start cooking your meat. Add the meat in batches and avoid overcrowding your pan.
Once the meat is cooked to your liking, bring back the garlic and add the peppers and scallions. Cook for 2 minutes, then add sugar, oyster sauce. Season with salt and pepper and cook for another 5 minutes, then turn off the heat and serve immediately.
Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh scallions before serving.

- 16oz. (450g) beef steak, Rib-eye or Fillet Mignon, cut into 1 inch cubes.
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 10 cloves of garlic, peeled
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 3 stalks scallions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, for garnishing
