Mango and Ginger Salsa

Jump to Recipe

Mango and Ginger Salsa—Sweet, spicy and savory, this Mango and Ginger Salsa recipe is so easy to make and extremely delicious.

Mango and ginger salsa.

This is a healthy, fresh and very easy to prepare mango salsa. You can enjoy as is or with tortilla chips, tacos or even fish and chicken dishes.

I like mango salsa and this recipe is similar to a previous one I published, Fresh Mango Salsa. However, this time I am adding ginger and red jalapeno pepper. The combination of ginger with mango works well. Nonetheless, I find jalapeno gives it a nice heat that contrasts the sweetness of the mangoes.

Foe this recipe, I use ripe mangoes that are easy to peel and cut. I do not use soft mangoes; otherwise, the salsa will be mushy when you add the rest of the ingredients and mix it.

How to Prepare Mango and Ginger Salsa

Start by peeling and finely chopping the onion. After that, slit the jalapeno into two parts and with the tip of your knife remove the seeds; chop into small pieces. Cut the red bell pepper into small pieces too and then peel and cut the mangoes to small size cubes.

In a serving bowl, combine onions, chili, bell pepper and Mangoes. Grate fresh ginger on top and drizzle lime juice. Mix gently and serve.
