The best Spicy Honey Grilled Shrimp recipe ever! Made with garlic, ginger, honey, sriracha and takes only 15 minutes to make.
I have a severe allergy towards crustaceans but it was not until I turned 30 when I developed that. .
It is unfortunate that for the past 15 years I have not been able to enjoy any seafood dishes aside from salmon and some white fish.
I remember the last time I enjoyed a platter of grilled lobster and shrimps was while on holiday in Langkawi Island in Malaysia
Langkawi is truly fascinating and has some of the most amazing scenery one can imagine. You can’t but love its lush and savage nature, beautiful beaches and lovely people.
I was blessed and lucky to visit it five times so far.
This dish is a reminiscence of my trips to Langkawi Island and the amazing people, culture and beauty that I experienced there.
What Shrimp to Use?
For this recipe you can use your preferred choice of shrimp. They can be peeled or shell–on as long as they are de-veined with the tails on.
If you are using an outdoor grill, large shrimp are better, to avoid threading them on skewers.
However, if you are using a stove top grill or a skillet, choose any size shrimp you wish without the need to thread. Keep in mind you can bake them in the oven if you are not in the mood to grill.
To make this easy Spicy Honey Shrimp Recipe you need shrimp, minced garlic, grated ginger, garlic powder, soy sauce, sriracha and honey.
