Some established Lebanese brands have been producing Tahini paste since the late 1800s. You can find Tahini in many supermarkets and specialty stores under many brands. I always choose the 100% sesame seed paste without any additions.

I like to prepare the basic sauce recipe and then make few variations depending on the dish I am using it with. Mostly, I add chili paste as one of my favorite variations because it gives the sauce a nice heat.
You need five ingredients for this great sauce: Tahini, crushed garlic, fresh lemon juice, salt, and some water.
How to Make Tahini Sauce
In a mixing ball, put the Tahini, crushed garlic clove, salt and lemon juice and mix. The Tahini will firm and will look like the image below. That is completely normal just continue mixing until all ingredients combine and form a smooth paste. Start adding water gradually to dilute the paste and until you get to the desired consistency.
I like my Tahini to be a bit thick but that is absolutely a personal preference. Some like to add more garlic or lemon juice.
Pour tahini in a jar and store in the fridge for future use.
What to Serve Tahini Sauce with
Tahini sauce goes with so many dishes. Mainly, it is served with falafel, shawarma, kababs, and salads. Some people enjoy it with roasted vegetables while it goes well with fresh vegetable sticks.

- Juice of 1 large lemon
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup water
- salt to taste
